Overview

BTM

General

▪ BTM plays the role of providing an interface between ground ballises and on-board ATP device.

▪ BTM transmits energy to the ground through an antenna. It radiates and drives ballises.

▪ Also, It is analyzing received telegrams from ground ballises and transfer to on-board ATP device via internal interface.

Operation

The BTM for driving Balise and receiving telegrams uses a magnetic field of 27MHz. It is used to drive the ballise through the antenna.

A balise uses FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) to transmit a telegram for response.

A signal at 4.52 MHz is marked as ″1″, and a signal at 3.95MHz is marked as ″0″, it stipulated, a telegram consists of 1023 bits.
