Automatic electronic block system (EABS)

General

Electronic Automatic Block System is an optical communication-based device that automatically controls the signal display according to the progress of trains in the blocked section of the station and station. It is a device to install and operate a number of blocked signal devices so that multiple trains can operate using the blocked section. It is also a device to maximize the safe operation and transportation efficiency of trains by installing CPT/eCPT (train entry prevention device) to provide a fail-safe function and protect track workers on trains that operate the blocked section.
