EID

(Electronic Interlocking Device)

Electronic Interlocking Device interlocks signals, point machines and track circuits on the line with software logic by computer and prevents errors and incorrect operations when establishing the routes for trains. Electronic Interlocking Device enables the train to operate in a safe and efficient way.

ATP

(Automatic Train Protection)

ATP is a system that automatically controls the gap between the preceding and following trains, consisting of LEU and Balise that apply the European ERTMS/ETCS standard. It installs products certified to the highest safety level, SIL4, on the track to ensure optimal operation of the train. This is a facility that ensures operation and safety. SHINWOO ENG Co., Ltd supplied to the Gyeongbu Line, Honam Line, Gyeongjeon Line, Gunsan Line and Janghang Line.

AFTC

(Audio Frequency Track Circuit)

AFTC is developed to apply to the electrified long distance railway. The maximum controllable distance of this track circuit is 1,500 m. AFTC is non-insulated type that has no insulation joints at the boundary between AFTC's and requires less maintenance work. When the train control system is improved into the on-board signaling system, AFTC can be used as the data transmission device of the system.

(Audio Frequency Track Circuit for ATC)

It is a device that uses an audio frequency (AF) track circuit to detect the location of trains on the track and prevent collisions between trains. It is divided into an in-vehicle device and a ground device. The ground device consists of a transmission/reception card, impedance bond, relay, etc., and is available in analog and digital types. SHINWOO ENG Co., Ltd has a track record of supplying products to Seoul Subway Line 7, Gwacheon Line, Ilsan Line, and Busan Subway.

ATC

(Automatic Train Control)

Automatic Train Control System is composed of ground equipments and on-board equipments. The ground equipments transmit the speed information which is necessary for safe operation of train to the on-board equipments (computer) continuously through rails so as to display the allowable speed on the driver's screen. ATC System performs deceleration control automatically when the operating speed exceeds the allowable speed.
